U.S. Grand Prix coverage on Sportsnet

ORLANDO, Fla. - Swimming Canada is proud to announce that Sportsnet will be televising this weekend's U.S. Grand Prix Series.

Several Canadian swimmers are in action on the third leg of the series in Orlando Friday and Saturday. Friday's event will be broadcast on Sportsnet ONE beginning at midnight Eastern Time, with replay coverage at 11 a.m. Saturday. Saturday's coverage kicks off at 10 p.m. ET, with the replay at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Canadians got off to a strong start at the Grand Prix Thursday as Olympic team members Samantha Cheverton of Pointe-Claire, Que., and Audrey Lacroix of Pont-Rouge, Que., won a silver and bronze medal. In the women's 200-m freestyle, Cheverton clocked 2:00.10, finishing behind Missy Franklin of the U.S., first in 1:58.01.
